Pretty Please Be a Good Teammate

The NY Knicks are not the most talented team in the NBA. But they got the "ship". 🏆

How? By being extraordinarily good teammates.

Yes, they stumbled often, put themselves in big holes, made umpteen mistakes. They failed repeatedly along the way (they almost got booted in the first round of the playoffs by the ATL). But they were good to each other and raised each other up constantly. They were good teammates. Which is why they ultimately raised the trophy.

As an executive coach, I can tell you this so often isn't the case. We are so damn hard on each other. So selfish, difficult, stubborn, disagreeable, passive aggressive. We stab each other in the back and shit talk each other on the regular. We can collectively be such d**cks. I literally get paid way too much because this is the case.

There's just no good reason for all of this.

The lesson of the Knicks is simple. Be a good teammate. Let's all be good to work with. We get so much farther when we are.
