In our jobs, we are really f****g hard on each other.
Having coached over 220 individuals plus countless teams over the past 7 years, I can say this definitively.
Miscommunication is the root of it.
Conflict? It comes down not just to what we say, but how we say it.
Disagreement? The words we say and the words we hear don’t always match up.
Sometimes we are just petty. Or passive aggressive. Or manipulative. Other times we are insensitive, not paying attention or not thinking at all.
And sometimes when we communicate we just need to grow up.
Do you wish there was less confict? Want to get along better?
Let’s stop making it sting.
Let’s stop being petty.
Let’s think before we talk, make our points clear but not personal.
